Strengthening our Ties with the Land

Your authorized independent Great Lakes Structure dealer is our tie with you and the land. Your dealer shares our commitment to the future of animal agriculture.

Over the past few years, Great Lakes Structure has been faced with the same problems we’ve all had. Their markets fluctuated. Their futures were uncertain.

Today’s dealers made the right decisions.

They’re stronger than ever…

Every dealer has pledged to uphold strict standards when Great Lakes Structure equipment is installed. Shilled service and quality Great Lakes Structure parts to keep your equipment running for many years to come are the measure of their success.

When a Great Lakes Structure  serviceman comes to your farm, you’re getting a lot more than a trained person. His truck is rolling a warehouse of Great Lakes Structure Branded quality parts. If the job requires more than expected, in most cases he has all the parts required to complete the job; and you have every right to expect the parts to retain the equipment’s original intergrity.

Two symbols come to mind when you think of Great Lakes Structure. One is the sturdy blue Great Lakes Structure standing on the horizon. The other is your nearby authorized independent Great Lakes Structure dealer – Great Lakes Storage 2002 Ltd System Both are symbols of lasting strength.

Maximum Forage and Grain Feeding Efficiency

The way they work… A Great Lakes Structure  is more than just a place to store feed – it’s a processing system that can provide more efficient feed management on many farms and ranches.

A Great Lakes Structure is oxygen-limiting. This minimizes the amount of air coming in contact with the feed. When the crop to be preserved is harvested at the optimum maturity and moisture content, and the structure is managed properly, spoilage is nearly eliminated. More nutrients are preserved to give your livestock greater feed power.

A Great Lakes Structure is durable. Constructed of rugged glass fused to steel, the surface resists silage acids and weathering. Plastic-encapsulated bolts and special sealant in the joints add further protection.

A Great Lakes Structure, when used for forage, is top filling, bottom unloading. First in, first out to create a true processing system. Fill and feed at the same time, year-round.

The way they’re built…

Each Great Lakes Structure foundation is equipped with an exclusive slide-in trough that accepts most current and anticipated future unloader models. Tough steel floors are available on all-purpose structures.

Durable, corrosion-resistant wind stiffeners add to the strurdiness. marine-type filler and access doors are made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and easy to open and close.

Great Lakes System Offers a Great Variety of Tough, Efficient Unloaders…All Fitting the Same Structures.

Atlas, Goliath, Hercules, Spartan, AU51, PSA55 and Goliath II

The Golith II Handles Forage Fast!

The GOLIATH II chain-type forage unloader features the one-two punch of power and strength. The patented cutter-arm drive is bi-directional and draws power from and exclusive, wide voltage range Hi-Lo single-phase 7.5hp drive motor that develops 30hp for starting. High-torque, three phase motors are also available. Cutting strength comes from the new OLYMPIC cutter chain and hook set. Hooks are 20 percent longer than previous models and tip width has been boosted by 30 percent. You can expect faster forage unloading – even in hard spots and tough-handle feeds like grass haylage.

Feedroom Automation: (Belt Conveyors, Belt Feeders, Metered Roller Mills)

They key to efficient, trouble -free handling and processing of livestock feed is Feedroom automation. Great Lakes Structure has a complete line of all-belt conveying system  components for handling both grain and forages. There are four models of belt feeders to fit applications from stanchion barns, haylage feeding to sows, to lare-scale beef-feeding operations.

Great Lakes Structure belt conveyors and feeders are made with Dura-Glide belting, a specially compounded PVC formulation that maintains Pliability at sub-zero temperatures.

Great Lakes Structure roller mills simplify feed formulation. Their large capacity means speed, efficiency and cost savings.

Batch Mixers and Optimiser Computer Feeder

By using a Great Lakes Structure batch mixer, you can weigh and mix required amounts of haylage, high-moisture  grain, supplement, and other ingredients in on simple operation. Each component is accurately weighed as it enters the mixer, then thoroughly mixed.
